HBCS, Inc. was founded in 2013 by Brett Bosley, who grew up with a sibling with developmental disabilities. While serving as aTargeted Case Manager, Brett saw a need in our community for a unique type of residential supports. He met several individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities who needed daily supports, but wanted independence that they felt they couldn’t get in a typical 24/7 group home. He decided to focus their entire operation on developing high quality supports using the independent living model. In 2022, HBCS, Inc. expanded its operations to begin providing Day Service supports in Overland Park. In 2024, they have expanded Day Services to include a location in downtown Olathe.
